Inspired By: Carolyn Guest, Sheepshear Papercutter

Carolyn Guest is a Vermont papercutter who uses traditional sheep sheering scissors to cut with -- a very novel approach.  Her website is "Sheepshear Cuttings." You can see some of her work on her website HERE.  I especially like the video with Carolyn making very tiny cuts in a complex design with those seemingly large, clunky shears.

Carolyn will be at Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, VT this Saturday 10 to 5 in the Weaving Shed.  She will not only demonstrate but will also have scissors and paper for people to give papercutting a try!  She will have both extra sheep shears and regular shears as well as a display of some of her framed work on Saturday.  Enjoy!
