I made this custom kirigami mandala last night. It is intended as a gift for the marine biologist of Pt. Reyes National Seashore in California and so is composed of aquatic images.
As before, here it is in several stages of creation: Kelp, rockfish and seaweed form the border, along with four sea urchins.
A mermaid and merman float in the center, holding a seashell. As always, I created the female first.
And here it is. I like this one, especially the border.
