Last night I watched "Between the Folds," a stunning film about modern origami engineers who combine advanced mathematics with the art of origami paper-folding. I had to watch this one-hour documentary twice because it was so fascinating.
This is not a film about how to make simple origami figures. These are complex structures, some of which have hundreds of folds and take days to create.
Also, the application of origami principles to engineering and design is interesting.
I am quite daunted.
This is a PBS documentary, also available on Netflix here in the US. Be sure to watch the special features and outtakes for more wonderfulness.
Watch and be amazed.
