May You Enjoy a Happy & Prosperous New Year

I don't usually go out on New Year's Eve. I don't have television either, so none of that watching the ball drop in NYCity. (Dumb anyways.) Instead, I will be relaxing and thinking about the year past and conjuring up goals for 2011 - perhaps watch a movie.

When I was a kid we used to throw an old dish out the window onto the patio ( smashing everything old to get ready for the new. ) But I hated having to clean up the mess afterwards. Now our midnight tradition is to run around the house in the snow barefooted. Yikes! Around the house represents leaving the past. Barefoot in the snow...What a way to brace yourself for the future!
