Today I visited the AVA gallery in Lebanon, NH to see a large showing of Trina Schart Hyman's oil paintings. She was a celebrated local artist, best known for her illustrated children's books such as St.George and the Dragon, Little Red Riding Hood, etc. Unfortunately, she died of cancer four years ago and I never got to know her. The show was amazing. I had no idea she worked in oils so extensively. I was inspired.
Today I finished a new black and white ink painting (I am trying to complete a series) but now I want to get back to color. So much work to do and so little time.
